5.56 mm NATO "Green Tip" vs. HARD Steel (500 Brinell)

5.56 mm NATO "Green Tip" vs. HARD Steel (500 Brinell) Video Clips. Duration : 3.25 Mins.

This is a "chapter 2" portion for my 5.56 mm video that illustrated penetration on 1/4" welding steel. 500 Brinell steel is on a par with armor plating. A 12" disc, 3/8" thickness, from Mike Gibson Targets was used for the 80 yard test. I thought it would be educational to illustrate the various hardness properties of steel and how it effects bullet performance, in particular for a high-velocity bullet with a steel penetrator. Please also view the 5.56 mm test using welding steel to complete the full perspective.
